
About Dr. Lydiah Kemunto Bosire
Dr. Lydiah Kemunto Bosire is a founder, board director, social entrepreneur, global policy advisor, and recovering diplomat. She is the founder of 8b.africa, the first fintech platform on a mission to enable African brilliance to have a global impact by providing affordable loans to African students attending global universities, thereby building a world-class African workforce for the 21st century and changing the face of the global labor market.
Her work has been featured widely, including on CNN International, Bloomberg, Forbes, and Clinton Global Initiative. 8b was also invited to make a commitment at the 2022 meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative.
She holds a PhD (D.Phil) in Politics from the University of Oxford (New College). She holds additional degrees from Oxford (St Cross College) and Cornell University.
