Echoing Green is one of the world’s most prestigious social impact fellowships. The fellowship brings together an amazing global community of founders working on the widest range of urgent social, environmental, political, and economic challenges facing communities around the world. Its fellowship ranks include the late Paul Farmer of Partners in Health, Van Jones, and Wendy Kopp of teach for America, and of course Cheryl Dorsey herself. To be selected as an Echoing Green Fellow is a humbling process. You think you are solving hard problems, until you meet people who are solving even harder ones.
But what was more inspiring was how much effort they have put in community building. When they held the All Fellows Convening in Accra, it was like finding one’s kinsmen and women. Everyone I met was bringing new and innovative, scalable solutions to underserved communities and issues. It was equal parts humbling and energizing, and what a vibrant Kenyan group of fellows! Thrilled to be growing with this incredible network!
